Aronia Orange Bread

Ingredients

  • 2 C. Flour

  • ½ C. Sugar

  • ½ t. Baking Soda

  • ½ t. Salt

  • 2 t. Butter, melted

  • 1 Lg Egg (slightly beaten)

  • 1 t. Vanilla or almond extract

  • 1 C. Frozen or fresh Aronia Berries coarsely chopped

  • 1 Med Orange

  • Few Walnuts

Directions

  • Preheat oven to 350 degrees. Spray 9 x 5 loaf pan with cooking spray. Line with Parchment paper that has been sprayed.

  • Mix flour, sugar, baking soda, and salt together in large bowl

  • Grate the zest from the orange and set aside.

  • Cut the orange in half and squeeze the juice into a measuring cup. Add the grated zest and melted butter to the juice and add enough orange juice to make 1 C.

  • Stir the liquids into the dry ingredients. Add the egg, extract, walnuts and Aronia Berries; stir to mix.

  • Pour the batter into the prepared pan and bake for 1 Hr or until golden brown. Cool in pan and remove to wire rack. Now enjoy the tasty Aronia Orange Bread with your family
