Aronia Cookies

Martha Stewart once said - I think baking cookies is equal to Queen Victoria running an empire. There's no difference in how seriously you take the job, how seriously you approach your whole life

Ingredients

  • ¾ C. White Sugar (can take to ½ C if you don’t want cookie too sweet)

  • ¾ C. Brown Sugar Packed (can take to ½ C if you don’t want cookie too sweet)

  • 1 Stick Butter, Softened

  • ¼ C. Milk

  • 2 T. Orange Juice

  • 1 Lg. Egg

  • 3 C. Flour

  • 1 t. Baking Powder

  • ½ t. Ground Cinnamon

  • ½ t. Salt

  • ¼ t. Baking Soda

  • 2 C. Frozen Aronia Berries (chop or cut in half)

  • 1 C. Chopped Walnuts (Optional)

Recipe

  1. Preheat oven 375 degrees. Grease baking sheet or use silicone baking mat.

  2. Cream White Sugar, Brown Sugar, and Butter together in large mixing bowl. Beat Milk, Orange Juice, and Egg into the creamed mixture.

  3. Sift Flour, Baking Powder, Cinnamon, Salt, and Baking Soda together in a Separate bowl; blend into the wet ingredients in the mixing bowl to form a cookie dough. Stir Aronia Berries and Walnuts into the dough

  4. Drop the dough onto the prepared baking sheet by the teaspoonful. You can also roll into ball and by dipping one end into flour so you can roll it.

  5. Bake until edges are golden 10-15 minutes. Allow cookies to cool on baking sheet 1 minute before removing to wire rack to cool completely.
